The USDA Single Family Housing Direct Loan Division is excited to announce four new webinar trainings which have been posted to the Forms and Resources page:
- Determining annual, adjusted, and repayment income: This session provides instruction on how to calculate all income types for the Direct loan and grant programs. Case studies are provided which assist the viewer with the methods and processes used to determine income calculations. Once this session is completed, it’s recommended that you view the tutorial “Worksheet for computing income and max loan amount calculator” to learn how the income calculations are documented for the application file.
- Credit Requirements: The webinar discusses how an applicant can qualify for streamlined credit processing, as well as considerations which can be made for applicants who do not have a reliable credit score or who have experienced adverse credit in the past.
- How to become an intermediary: The course is intended for entities who are interested in becoming an intermediary, or for Rural Development staff who may be talking with potential intermediaries. Minimum eligibility requirements as well as the application process are reviewed.
- The role of the intermediary: If you are thinking of applying to be an intermediary or have recently been approved, this curriculum reviews the requirements of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by an intermediary and Rural Development.
